Enjoy our beautifully renovated two bedroom unit, in historic 1890s Avalon House, bordering the Ovens River. It has its own deck and private courtyard. We are near the ski fields, and a wide variety of outdoor activities and gourmet wine and trails.
Avalon Rest is a recently renovated self contained unit, featuring a private garden with barbeque. The lounge and bedroom have polished wood floors with rugs and slate tiles. The large bedroom features a queen size bed, and TV. The living area has a deep lounge for relaxing, reading, listening to music or reading, as well as sofa bed. The private garden includes, barbeque and outdoor table etc. The lounge comes equipped with TV, audio and DVD facilities. The second bedroom is designed as a children's room featuring a loft and two ground level single beds, but can also be used for adults. Avalon Rest has a fully equipped kitchen which opens to the deck via a folding window and a bathroom featuring a spa and twin shower heads. A drying room is provided for wet ski equipment etc. Avalon Rest is cool in summer and is centrally heated in winter. There is easy access to all parts of Harrietville with both pub and general store about a two minute walk. The Ovens River runs along the bottom of the Avalon grounds. The main 1890s building once housed a cafe, bar & gallery but is currently only used for events.

| Rates | Standard rates are $150 p.n for 2 guests - Each extra adult is $20 p.n / Each extra child is $15 p.n Discounted rates for BYO linen. All bookings of five nights or longer attract a 10% discount on the total cost of the booking. Note that while we welcome pets we are now forced to levy a surcharge of $30 due to the additional cleaning we have been forced to do. There will also be a $50 bond (refundable if the units are not damaged) due to damage to lounges and fly screens caused by pets. |
